Anzac Day 2018
Commemorate Anzac Day at Northgate!
This year Northgate is honouring Anzac Day with the following activities:
9 - 25 April 2018
Join us in commemorating Anzac Day with a photographic exhibition in centre with images sourced by local historian Colin Dennison.
The photos focus WW1 and WW2 participants, moments of camaraderie, relationships with family members, local landmarks and moments captured in history, not forgotten.
Write a note to Australian military personnel
Come along and add your special note of thanks and hope to our board of messages for military personnel currently serving overseas.
Note paper will be at the barrel located near the southern travelator next to Coles. Write your message down and put it in the barrel. The messages will be collated, displayed in the centre and then duplicated into a physical book format and sent away to the Officer Commanding (OC) and a Company Sergeant Major in the Middle East Region.
Submit your messages between 9 - 25 April. Messages will be displayed in centre, and removed for book collation after April 25.
Lone Soldier Display
The Lone Soldier display will be outside Lowes. It will be a reminder to our community to remember those who have fought for our country and did not return.
May they all rest in peace and may we prove worthy of their sacrifice. Lest we forget.
The Glenorchy RSL will be in the centre on April 21st, 23rd & 24th from 9am until 5pm. They will be selling Anzac memorabilia and will be located next to the Lone Soldier display.
